Reform The Healthcare Industry By Jon Deridder Healthcare reform seems to be a hot topic these days. With President Obama pushing his brand of reform to get passed. What is this reform going to bring us? Will it change the health crisis that we face in America today? True reform must come in all areas of life. The food we eat has little nutritional value, that once had. Our water supply is full of toxins. We have become an obese nation. The government subsidizes the food industry. This I brlieve is part of the problem. What should be done is to subsidize the American people to buy the wellness products of their choice. This I believe will lower healthcare cost and make it affordable for everyone. By making healthier choices and chosing to give our bodies the nutrition it needs, we will live a long and healthier life.

The government, "we the tax payer" do subsidize a lot of American people with food stamps, Jon. I stood in grocery check our lines and observed mothers buying soda, gunk pastries,pizza,chips and the list goes on and it was paid by food stamps. We free to be irresponsible and it shows in obese Americans.
